Breaking barriers, inspiring change, and building a legacy—one snail at a time.

Bayanda Vincent Maseko is a pioneering commercial snail farmer and the co-founder of Noliqua Legacy Pty Ltd, one of the first young Black-owned commercial snail farms and manufacturers in South Africa. Noliqua Legacy specializes in raising snails for both meat consumption and international markets and produces innovative skin products from snail mucin. Committed to empowering youth and aspiring farmers, Bayanda and his team offer hands-on training and mentorship programs, helping to inspire the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.

Bayanda’s journey in agriculture began with a commercial poultry farm established by his late mother, Noliqhwa Nhlapo, whose encouragement led him to pursue farming full-time. Since 2020, he has dedicated himself to agriculture, quickly building a reputation for innovation and excellence. Recognized by the Africa Agribusiness Qualifications program, Bayanda went on to win the FOYA Africa Agripreneur of the Year award and represented South Africa in the World Entrepreneurship Cup, reaching the top 250 globally. Despite the challenges of his agricultural journey, Bayanda remains determined to break barriers and leave a lasting legacy in agribusiness.
